Hope & Plum Lark Kid Carrier I have to be honest, I was not expecting to be as happy with the support of this as I was. The simple reason why- because it's such a simple design and my pregnant body HURTS lately. And the infant Lark didn't feel quite as supportive (although I've only used with a toddler at the top of it's range, can't wait to try with an infant.) I thought I would really need a bit more padding right now. But, this was shockingly supportive and comfy. It was so supportive that I let my big kid (4yrs, nearly 50lbs) go up for a quick minute. I haven't carried her in at least 6 months, and this carrier really did make her feel weightless in comparison to in arms. This has quite a high panel, but by placing very high on my waist (above my bump), I was able to get a good fit with my 2yo, who is firmly in 2T clothing and no where near fitting 3T yet. However, I do agree with their general advice to start around a 3T if you want to wear this closer to your natural waist. This type of carrier can provide a higher sitting position depending on how you wear, which can be beneficial for kids who want to see up over your shoulder. Overall- this is a fantastic option that really impressed me.
